iPods

Coffee Tea and Snacks is giving away T-Shirts to summer interns. And I am having a conversation about this with a friend.

Me: They’ll be deducting the cost of T-Shirts from our stipends.
Friend: No. I don’t think so.
Me: Am sure they will. Some years back these guys gave iPods as part of some celebration. The iPods cost around 30K each then and this was deducted from the salaries. Infact the freshers who had just joined and were getting 10K salary weren’t even paid salary for three months.
Friend: Is it?
Me: Yes
Friend: That’s bad. They shouldn’t have done this.
Me: After that many employees started selling the iPods for a lower price and Apple sued the company for bringing down the brand value of iPods or something like that.
Friend: Ha. I don’t believe it.
Me: What is it that you don’t believe? The deduction from stipend part of the Apple suing part?
Friend: The Apple suing part!
