What's in a Number?

I find it really difficult to remember phone numbers. It takes a significant amount of effort for me to remember even my own. I had decided not to bother remembering my Chennai number since I would be using it for less than 2 months.

Yesterday, I was placing a request for a book at Odyssey and when asked for my number, I looked up from my cell. These guys don’t charge for placing a request. So the shop attendant gave me a weird look and felt that I was playing a prank and giving some one else’s number. I actually had to tell him twice that the number was mine only and I wanted the book. Damn! I just hope he gets my book before it gets too late and doesn’t ignore it as a prank!!
