The Race

The race against time is on.
I tried moving ahead
Adjusted my watch;

Thought I was leading,
Remained under the illusion for long
Till it was shattered

And then I realised
The race was only against myself,
Me against myself.
All that remains to be seen
Is if I make it or break it!!!
